DANTE’S OBITUARY
Surrounded by his loving children, on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the age of 86, Dante joined his beloved wife, Louise (Fonzi). Dante was a retired employee of Stanley Works of Canada (43 years). He was an avid sports fan. He played football with the Tigers in the late 40’s, golfed with his brothers, and had become the Toronto Blue Jays number one fan. Dante was a member of the Sons of Italy, and volunteered his time at both the St. Anthony’s and the Sons of Italy’s bingo. He loved his garden, making wine and embracing his grandchildren. Dante touched the lives of everyone he met, his door always open, with unconditional love for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his children, Diane and Ward (Campbell), MaryAnn and Lorenzo (Mostacci), Ray and Lynn (DiFrancesco); his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Carl, Melanie, Krista, Laura, Emile, Marla, Greg, Brandon, Amy, Dante, Carley, David, and his greatgrandchildren, Gabrielle, Jackson and soon to arrive, baby Mercier. Also survived by his devoted sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Bill Bradburn and his dear sister-in-law, Doreen DiFrancesco. Sadly missed by the Fonzi family from North Tonawanda, New York. Predeceased by his parents, Gianfelice and Erminia DiFrancesco; his brothers Louie (Lydia), and Johnny; and his sister Inez (Primo Salvatori). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m., Sunday from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers are Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at Incarnation of Our Lord Church at Barton and Nash on Monday, October 1st at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
