The Hamilton Tiger-Cat Alumni are sad to announce the passing of Alumnus John G. Metras.
John played Centre for the Tiger-Cats in 1964-65 and was a member of the 1965 Grey Cup Championship team.
He previously played football at the University of Western Ontario where his father John P. Metras coached. John Jr. graduated from Western Ontario in 1964 with a LL.B. degree and was called to the bar in 1966. His father was later inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame 1980 as a builder. John Jr. was inducted into the Western Ontario Wall of Champions in 2013.
