1935 – 2019
It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of Marvin Bevan in his 84th year on June 23, 2019. Marvin Bevan, of Hamilton, beloved husband and best friend of Catherine Bevan (Leblanc); loving and cherished father of Leanne Lalor (Michael), the late Krista Bevan, and stepfather of Lisa Laderoute (Chris). Cherished grandfather of MacLean Lalor (Annie), Jordan Lalor (Maggie) and Evelyn Read; loving great grandfather to Jack Lalor. Beloved brother of Donna Fowler (the late Jim). Predeceased by brothers, Bill and Eddie, sister Eileen, and parents Harvey & Beatrice (Lindsay) Bevan. His memory will be cherished by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Marv was an avid sportsman where he enjoyed golfing for many years. One of his greatest accomplishments was playing football with the Ottawa Rough Riders and winning the 1960 Grey Cup. His career as a top salesman for General Motors lead to many awards and accolades.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Granite Ridge Care Community for their excellent care and kindness shown throughout his time there.
